Abdiaziz A. Mohamed: Somali Author and Writer Bridging Literature and Digital Media

Mogadishu, Somalia — Abdiaziz A. Mohamed is a Somali writer whose work spans literature, branding and digital media, global affairs, personal development, and the Horn of Africa.

Born in Somalia in 2002, Mohamed has developed a career combining writing with digital media creativity. He is a co-founder of Ogaal Advert, a Somali creative agency focused on branding, media production, and digital communication.

Through his work with Ogaal Advert, Mohamed has contributed to visual identity projects, social media content, photography, videography, and digital media production. His earlier work also included participation in educational seminars, conferences, public events, and projects involving organizations working in education and humanitarian support in Somalia.

His experience in visual media has influenced his approach to storytelling and communication. He has worked on awareness campaigns and public information content designed to communicate ideas and messages to wider audiences through digital platforms.

As a writer, Mohamed covers global affairs, business, regional security, and developments in the Horn of Africa. His writing also explores personal development, confidence, mindset, and issues affecting young people.

In 2025, Mohamed published his first book, The Power Within: Unlocking Your True Confidence. The nonfiction book focuses on confidence, self-belief, mindset, and personal development.

He will soon publish Hilin: Hagaha Lagu Gaadho Aragti iyo Isbeddel, a book examining perspective, life experiences, and personal change. Its central theme is expressed through the line, “Every story is a lesson, and every lesson is a path in life.”

The two books approach personal development from different perspectives. The Power Within focuses on confidence and self-belief, while Hilin examines how experiences and lessons influence a person’s perspective and direction.
